Dim sum service on Orchard Road tends to sit at either the high end or the food court level, and The Dim Sum Place occupies a middle ground when it opened this outlet at The Centrepoint in 2023, the brand's third Singapore location.
Housed in the mall's basement, the restaurant runs the full range found across the brand's outlets. Steamed items include the Crystal Shrimp Dumpling, Chicken Dumpling with Shrimp, Beancurd Skin Roll with Shrimp in Superior Sauce, and the Steamed Chicken and Mala Xiao Long Bao Combo, which serves two versions of the same dumpling side by side. The Lotus Leaf Glutinous Rice with Chicken and the Vermicelli Roll with Roasted Chicken Char Siew are also part of the steamed lineup.
Fried dishes range from the Deep Fried Carrot Cake and Deep Fried Chicken Wanton to less common items such as the Deep Fried Beancurd Skin with Shrimp. Duck dishes, including the Signature Duck Roll, DSP Herbal Duck, and DSP Angelica Duck, follow the same preparation used across the brand's other branches. This outlet also carries the DSP Cheese Tarts and DSP Egg Tarts, which are only available here and at the North Bridge Road location.
For larger meals, the noodle and rice section offers wanton noodle, duck noodle, and beef brisket noodle, along with the DSP Signature Fried Beehoon. Congee options include shredded chicken, sliced fish, and mixed seafood versions.
The Centrepoint location places the restaurant within walking distance of Somerset MRT station, in a mall that mixes retail with a range of dining options. Seating follows the same casual, sit-down format used at the brand's other branches, with tables suited to both quick solo meals and larger group orders.
